Well, I have been transfered to Poway California and I am serving in the Lake Poway ward. The members are really great every one is really friendly and missionary minded which is great. We have one sister (Sister Long) tell us that she had invited a friend of hers to take the missionary discussions. Unfortunately, the friend did not accept, but her daughter was at church this week. Hopefully she will tell her mother what a great time she had and that will soften her heart a little bit.
To give yoou a genral idea of where Poway is we are about 20 minutes away from the temple which puts us pretty close to the bottom of the mission. My new companions name is Wlder Whiting. He is from Mesa Arizona. He is really laid back, but he is a hardworker at the same time. As far as investigaters go, I have met two thus far and we ahd really good lessons with them. The first is Sister *********. She was a street contact that Elder Whiting has been teaching on her doorstep becuse her husband was not home. This week we rewiewed the restoration and taught bits and pieces of the plan of salvation. She had a lot of really deep questions. For example one of her main hang ups is she thinks that death is not somthing that God had origionally intended for us which is partially true because Adam and Eve could not die until after they partook of the fruit but we had a hard time explaning that we need to die in order for to be resurected.
The other was with @@@@@@@@@, he stared to investigate the church because of his girlfriend. He basically told us that if he gets baptized he wants it to be for him and he didn't think that it fit for him right now. He did say he would be willing to continue taking lessons though.
Yesterday we met with one of the recenct converts in the ward. His name is &&&&&&&& &&&&&&. He is 16 years old but he is mature far beyond his years. He told us about his missionary experiece he had the other day Elder Whiting and I were both amazed. He was out walking the town when he was stopped by this Christian youth group who nvited them out to church. One of the people in the group pulled him aside and started asking question and &&&&&&&&& bore his testimony and briefly explained that we do not believe in the trinity or infant baptism. Thats pretty amazing for someone who has been in the church for three months. We have been busy doing a lot of service as well. We helped a less active sister name %%%%%%%%%% clear some wood out of her yard. And we helped a lady named Sister ^^^^^^^^^^ fix some goat pens.
Love you more than being fed at conference (both spiritually and with those heavenly
cinamon rolls of yours)
